Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential aerospace client seeking a Fluidic System Engineer / Architect to join their orbital systems team in Munich, Germany. In this full-time role, you will define fluidic system architectures for spacecraft propulsion and related functions, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary engineering team on cutting-edge projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining fluidic systems architectures in collaboration with domain architects across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Performing fluidic systems simulations including performance calculations, steady and transient CFD analysis, and thermal modeling
  • Leading systems engineering activities including requirements engineering and model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
  • Providing technical leadership for fluidic system development initiatives
  • Driving manufacturing, assembly, integration, and test (MAIT) activities with hands-on support
  • Coordinating design and mechanical engineering teams
  • Interfacing directly with customers and suppliers on technical matters
  • Supporting proposal preparation and business development activities

What We're Looking For

We are seeking engineers with demonstrated expertise in fluidic systems. Candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply. We are also interested in more experienced professionals with 10+ years in fluidic system architecture and leadership. The position level and scope will be determined based on your experience and demonstrated impact.

Ideal qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of space systems and subsystems
  • Experience with propulsion systems architecture, including high-test peroxide (HTP) and/or hydrazine/MMH systems
  • Propellant ground handling experience with thorough understanding of safety requirements
  • Proficiency in fluidic system simulations using tools such as ECOSIM/ESPSS, Simulink, or MATLAB
  • Familiarity with MBSE concepts, requirements engineering principles, and ECSS standards
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to interface across technical and business teams
  • Hands-on mindset for hardware-related activities
  • Proactive, structured approach with ability to work independently and collaboratively
