About the Role
As a Flag Football Instructor/Official, you'll guide young athletes ages 4-14 through engaging instruction, gameplay, and skill development. This part-time role combines teaching fundamentals, officiating games fairly, and fostering a fun, inclusive athletic environment where players build teamwork skills and confidence.
What You'll Do
- Instruct youth participants in flag football techniques, game strategy, and fundamentals
- Officiate games with fair, consistent application of rules
- Set up and manage practice sessions and game days with focus on safety
- Model sportsmanship and encourage positive behavior among young athletes
- Communicate with parents and coaches regarding player progress
- Maintain equipment and field readiness as needed
What We're Looking For
- Working knowledge of flag football rules, techniques, and officiating standards
- Ability to engage, motivate, and teach children effectively
- Strong commitment to player safety, fun, and inclusive participation
- Reliable availability for part-time game and practice scheduling
- Genuine enthusiasm for youth sports and positive team environments
- Previous youth coaching or sports instruction experience (preferred)
