Finance Manager – Finance Control

Dazn is hiring a Finance Manager - Finance Control for a full-time position in UK - Leeds. The role sits within Group Finance Control and is based primarily at the White Rose office.

Position Summary

As Finance Manager - Finance Control you will take charge of strengthening the processes and systems that deliver precise revenue and cost reporting plus accounting across Dazn’s worldwide activities, feeding both internal management information and statutory requirements. You will operate as a trusted advisor to commercial finance colleagues in individual markets and to wider parts of the organisation. Core expectations include advancing revenue and cost accounting together with assurance work, preserving a robust and compliant control landscape, confirming correct recognition of revenue and costs under applicable accounting standards, and enabling sound decisions inside Finance and the commercial side of the business while the group grows internationally. Close partnership with the Shared Service Centre is essential: you will guide and assess the work of its revenue and cost teams, set clear benchmarks for accurate and timely management and statutory reporting, and ensure those teams deliver against the required standard. Presence at the White Rose site in Leeds is required for most of the working week.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead ownership and continuous improvement of the processes and systems that produce accurate revenue and cost reporting and accounting for the global portfolio
• Provide consultative partnership to in-market Commercial Finance teams and other business stakeholders
• Drive revenue and cost accounting activity along with related assurance
• Uphold a rigorous control environment that satisfies compliance expectations
• Confirm revenue and costs are recognised correctly under the relevant accounting standards
• Support confident decision-making by Finance and commercial colleagues as operations expand globally
• Direct and review the relevant activity of Shared Service Centre revenue and cost teams
• Define the standard expected for precise, punctual management and statutory reporting and hold the Shared Service Centre teams accountable for meeting it

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to own and refine financial processes and systems that underpin reliable global revenue and cost reporting
• Strength in working as a consultative partner with commercial finance functions and broader business audiences
• Sound knowledge of revenue and cost accounting, assurance methods and control frameworks
• Familiarity with applying relevant accounting standards to the proper recognition of revenue and costs
• Experience of guiding and reviewing the output of shared-service teams handling revenue and cost work
• Capacity to establish clear standards for accurate and timely management and statutory reporting and to enforce accountability
• Proven support for decision-making within Finance and commercial areas during periods of international scaling
