Fitter & Turner (Fixed Term Contract)

New World Personnel Consultants is recruiting a Fitter & Turner for a four-month fixed-term, full-time contract in Hyper By The Sea, Durban. This role offers the potential for contract extension and is suited to experienced manufacturing professionals seeking immediate placement opportunities.

The Opportunity

Core Duties

• Operate and maintain precision machinery, including lathes and fitting equipment
• Assemble, fit, and finish metal and mechanical components to specification
• Conduct quality checks and dimensional verification of manufactured parts
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of workshop equipment
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Adhere to all health and safety standards within the manufacturing facility

What You Bring

• Trade-tested Fitter & Turner qualification (essential)
• Minimum four years of demonstrated experience in manufacturing concerns
• Matric or N3-level qualification or equivalent
• Strong technical aptitude and precision in detailed mechanical work
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and follow technical specifications
