Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Federal Acquisition Strategist to support critical defense and national security missions at Picatinny Arsenal in Morris County, New Jersey. This is a full-time position where you'll shape how the US government acquires and manages mission-critical technology and services.

About the Role

As a Federal Acquisition Strategist, you'll develop and refine procurement strategies that enable federal agencies to achieve their operational and policy objectives. Your work directly supports the government's defense, national security, and public safety missions by translating complex requirements into effective acquisition approaches that balance cost, schedule, and performance.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute acquisition strategies for government clients across defense and national security sectors
  • Analyze federal procurement requirements and recommend contracting vehicles, methodologies, and partnership models
  • Assess market conditions, vendor capabilities, and competitive landscapes to inform government decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR), defense supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including contracting officers, program managers, and subject-matter experts
  • Identify and mitigate acquisition risks throughout the procurement lifecycle
  • Develop documentation, business cases, and recommendations for executive review and approval

What We're Looking For

  • Deep understanding of federal acquisition law, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience developing or supporting acquisition strategies for government contracts
  • Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into actionable procurement approaches
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for executive-level audiences
  • Problem-solving mindset with demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Active Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor's degree in business, government, engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
