ECC is hiring a Project Engineer at the mid to senior level to join our Honolulu, Hawaii office. You'll take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing engineering and construction activities for large-scale federal government construction projects serving Department of Defense clients throughout Hawaii and surrounding regions.
About the Role
This is a full-time position based in Honolulu, Hawaii, offering the opportunity to lead technical aspects of significant federal construction and engineering initiatives. You'll work directly with DoD stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver complex, mission-critical projects from planning through completion.
What You'll Do
- Plan and coordinate engineering activities across all phases of federal government construction projects
- Oversee execution of construction work to meet project specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Manage technical documentation, engineering drawings, and construction schedules
- Liaise with Department of Defense representatives, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance with federal standards
- Support contract administration and technical coordination for government construction work
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in project engineering, construction management, or related field
- Experience with federal government or Department of Defense construction projects preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methodologies, and project delivery
- Excellent planning, coordination, and technical communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups
- Proficiency with project management and engineering software tools
