This Business Development Director (Health) role offers the opportunity to shape growth strategy for federal health organizations, including military health agencies, civilian health departments, and related national security health sectors. You'll report to senior leadership, lead the business development function for this market segment, and be accountable for pipeline development, client relationships, and revenue expansion.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand Accenture Federal Services' market presence within federal health organizations
- Build, nurture, and lead relationships with executive-level clients and key decision-makers at federal health agencies
- Identify emerging market opportunities, assess competitive dynamics, and recommend strategic initiatives to capture new business
- Lead proposal development and capture management efforts for significant federal health opportunities
- Partner across delivery, technical, and operations teams to drive client success and build long-term partnerships
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and federal health spending priorities to inform business strategy
What We're Looking For
- Extensive business development, sales, or account management experience in federal government contracting, with focus on health or defense sectors
- Proven track record identifying, qualifying, and closing substantial enterprise and government contracts
- Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes, acquisition regulations, and the structure of defense and civilian health agencies
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and successfully navigate complex organizational environments
- Strategic mindset paired with strong execution capability and commitment to delivering measurable results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate compelling value propositions to government buyers
- Active Top Secret security clearance, or ability to obtain one (preferred)
