FEA Engineer

Bosch Group is seeking a talented FEA Engineer to join our engineering team in Coimbatore, India. This full-time position offers the opportunity to apply advanced simulation and finite element analysis techniques to develop and validate innovative products for global markets.

The Opportunity

As an FEA Engineer at Bosch Group in Coimbatore, you'll play a key role in translating design concepts into optimised, validated solutions through computational analysis. You'll work on challenging engineering problems across multiple product lines, using simulation to drive innovation in performance, durability, and manufacturability. This position offers meaningful contribution to products that reach customers worldwide, combined with exposure to cutting-edge analysis methodologies and industrial-scale engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and execute finite element analysis models to assess structural, thermal, and fatigue behaviour of components and assemblies
• Establish material properties, loading conditions, and boundary conditions aligned with design specifications and operational requirements
• Generate optimised computational meshes and conduct parametric sensitivity analyses to refine designs for performance and cost
• Interpret and communicate simulation findings through detailed technical reports and visual documentation for design and manufacturing teams
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional colleagues in design, manufacturing, and quality to incorporate FEA insights into product development cycles
• Support design verification, prototype correlation studies, and investigation of field failures using finite element techniques
• Maintain complete documentation of models, methodology, and analysis assumptions for regulatory compliance and knowledge retention

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline
• Demonstrated proficiency with commercial FEA software platforms such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or similar tools
• Working knowledge of CAD systems and ability to extract and interpret geometry from multiple CAD formats
• Sound foundation in mechanics of materials, solid mechanics, and structural analysis principles
• Strong analytical capabilities combined with meticulous precision in model setup and results interpretation
• Clear communication skills for translating technical analyses for both specialist and non-specialist stakeholders
• Prior experience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial engineering roles considered advantageous
