Code 14 Driver (Contract)

Zealhr is seeking two experienced Code 14 Drivers to take on a full-time contract position based in Bellville, Cape Town, South Africa. This is a four to six-month seasonal engagement offering immediate employment for professional drivers with current licensing and availability.

What This Role Involves

As a Code 14 Driver, you will be part of our client's operational team, performing professional transportation duties in a fast-paced environment. Your work will centre on safe, reliable driving operations whilst maintaining the highest standards of vehicle maintenance and road safety compliance. This contract role offers the ideal opportunity for experienced drivers seeking flexible, short-term employment in the Cape Town region.

Core Duties

• Operate and manoeuvre Code 14 vehicles in accordance with all applicable road and transport regulations
• Perform pre-journey and post-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety standards
• Transport goods and materials to designated destinations according to schedules and route instructions
• Maintain accurate records of journeys, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or vehicle issues
• Conduct yourself professionally with clients and team members at all times
• Comply with all traffic laws, load requirements, and safety protocols throughout each working day

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driving licence currently held and in good standing
• Proven experience as a professional heavy or commercial vehicle driver
• Immediate availability and proven reliability record
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
• Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Good communication and customer service skills

Working at Zealhr

This contract position offers a monthly basic salary of R8,000 with additional earnings of R50–R100 per load, depending on delivery performance and load completion.
