FAO Senior Associate

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential professional services firm seeking an experienced FAO Senior Associate to join their growing Finance & Accounting Outsourcing practice. In this role, you will work with diverse middle-market clients across the United States, delivering comprehensive accounting and financial reporting services while advancing your technical expertise in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities for multiple client engagements, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and management reporting packages for clients
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with established processes and internal controls
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and special accounting projects as client needs require
• Collaborate with clients and team members to resolve accounting issues and identify process improvements
• Leverage accounting systems and technology to deliver efficient, high-quality services
• Manage multiple client priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service standards

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to team objectives
