Ocean Estate Law, P.C. is seeking a full-time Estate Planning Attorney to join our Laguna Hills, Orange County practice. If you entered law school to advise clients and protect what matters to them—not to be sidelined in document review or treated as a billing metric—this opportunity is for you.
About the Role
As an Estate Planning Attorney at Ocean Estate Law, P.C., you'll work directly with clients to understand their assets, family dynamics, and long-term goals. You'll design and implement comprehensive estate plans that protect your clients' legacies and provide peace of mind. This is client-centered legal work where your judgment and relationship-building skills are valued as much as your technical expertise.
What You'll Do
- Conduct client consultations to gather information about assets, family structures, and estate planning objectives
- Draft wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents tailored to each client's situation
- Advise clients on tax-efficient strategies, probate alternatives, and asset protection planning
- Review and update existing estate plans to reflect changes in law, family circumstances, or financial conditions
- Coordinate with tax professionals, financial advisors, and other practitioners to ensure holistic estate planning
- Communicate complex legal concepts clearly so clients understand their options and implications
- Maintain detailed client files and ensure compliance with applicable state and federal requirements
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) and active license to practice law in California
- Demonstrated experience or strong knowledge in estate planning, trusts, and probate law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client relationship and business development sensibilities
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to legal work and file management
- Commitment to putting client interests and satisfaction first
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative legal team
