Electrical Engineer (Senior / Staff) – Power Innovation

Williams is hiring a Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer – Power Innovation for a full-time role based at one of our 3 locations. This position offers a substantial opportunity to lead electrical engineering innovations in power systems and advanced technologies.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer at the Senior or Staff level to drive our power innovation strategy. You'll combine deep technical expertise in electrical engineering with strategic leadership, guiding the design and development of advanced electrical systems and solutions. This role positions you as a technical authority and thought leader within our organization, contributing to Williams' power innovation objectives.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems and power technologies
• Conduct comprehensive technical analysis, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations
• Translate complex business and operational requirements into practical electrical engineering designs
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while establishing engineering standards and best practices
• Oversee project execution from concept through deployment, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical system efficiency, reliability, and performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, project management, and other disciplines

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification
• Extensive professional experience in electrical engineering, power systems design, or related fields
• Demonstrated track record with power innovation, electrical systems, or advanced power technologies
• Deep knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proven leadership abilities and experience mentoring technical teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent technical communication
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred
