The Opportunity
Williams is seeking an experienced Staff Engineer specializing in power generation turbine systems. This full-time position offers the chance to drive innovation, mentor engineering teams, and shape the future of turbine technology and performance optimization. You'll work on complex, large-scale projects that impact our operations across multiple facilities and contribute to our strategic engineering objectives.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize turbine systems and power generation equipment
- Conduct advanced technical analysis and troubleshooting of turbine performance issues
- Lead cross-functional engineering teams on strategic projects and initiatives
- Establish technical standards and best practices for turbine engineering across operations
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure system reliability and efficiency
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional development
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and engineering recommendations
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- 10+ years of professional engineering experience with substantial background in power generation or turbine systems
- Deep technical expertise in turbine design, operation, performance analysis, and reliability
- Strong problem-solving abilities with proven success delivering complex technical projects
- Leadership experience and demonstrated mentoring capability
- Excellent technical communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency with engineering analysis tools and CAD software
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
