Join Honor as Director of Compliance Operations for a full-time, remote position. You'll shape how a technology-driven aging care leader meets regulatory requirements across a growing national footprint, enabling sustainable expansion into new markets while maintaining operational excellence.

The Opportunity

At Honor, regulatory compliance fuels growth rather than constraining it. As the organization expands into new states, introduces new service lines, and scales its operations, your role transforms compliance from a back-office function into a strategic operational engine. You'll lead the Compliance Operations team in building systems and processes that make regulatory requirements executable at scale. Reporting to the VP of Trust & Safety, you'll own compliance execution across 15 states and growing, combining strategic vision with hands-on problem-solving. This position demands someone who understands how technology enables operations, sees patterns across geographies and functions, and can translate complex regulatory demands into pragmatic, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define strategic direction for the Compliance Operations function as Honor enters new markets, managing employment law and home care licensing requirements across an expanding footprint.
  • Identify compliance and operational risks through data analysis, audit programs, and ground-level insights—then eliminate friction by simplifying processes and automating manual work.
  • Resolve complex compliance issues hands-on while building durable systems and protocols to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to design technology solutions that reduce compliance effort and enable operational scale—including developing business cases, writing requirements, and overseeing delivery.
  • Lead state licensing audits and audit-readiness initiatives end-to-end, closing gaps and ensuring operational readiness.
  • Translate regulatory guidance from Legal into actionable, executable protocols for the entire organization.
  • Build and develop a team of 5–10 compliance and operations professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Create compliance metrics and dashboards that give leadership transparency into risk, readiness, and efficiency across all markets.

Who We're Looking For

  • 8–10 years in operations, product operations, or compliance roles within technology-focused or rapidly scaling companies—health tech, logistics, and distributed workforce management are particularly relevant.
  • Proven ability to partner with Product and Engineering teams on translating operational needs into technology solutions.
  • Track record building scalable systems, processes, and teams that anticipate problems rather than react to them.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with experience extracting insights from large, complex datasets; facility with data visualization and operational KPI development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, managing stakeholder alignment, and navigating competing priorities across functional areas.
  • Clear communicator who simplifies complex regulatory and operational topics for diverse audiences.
  • Preferred: background in employment law compliance, healthcare or home care regulation, state licensing, or multi-state regulatory frameworks.
