Diesel Fleet Mechanic

SRM Concrete is hiring a full-time Diesel Fleet Mechanic to support our operations in Panama City Beach, Bay County. This position plays a vital role in keeping our fleet of heavy equipment and vehicles in top working condition.

What This Role Involves

As a Diesel Fleet Mechanic with SRM Concrete, you'll be the backbone of our equipment maintenance program. Working in the concrete industry, you'll service a diverse fleet that powers our projects, from heavy-duty trucks and concrete mixers to specialized machinery essential to daily operations. Your expertise ensures every vehicle leaves the shop ready for the job site.

Core Duties

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related mechanical systems
• Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment
• Replace worn components and parts to restore equipment to working condition
• Maintain detailed service records and equipment logs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
• Communicate with operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine operation and repair
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and hand tools
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
• Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent (trade certification a plus)
