DevOps / Infra Lead

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization based in Paris that is building AI-powered tools for finance teams. They are seeking a DevOps / Infrastructure Lead to own and evolve the platform infrastructure that supports real-time financial operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for the reliability, security, and scalability of production systems that handle critical financial workflows. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to build infrastructure-as-code foundations that enable safe, rapid deployment cycles.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve infrastructure-as-code to support new services, environments, and scaling requirements
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable multiple safe production deployments daily
• Investigate and resolve production issues including latency, deployment failures, and database performance
• Strengthen observability through dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing to enable proactive incident detection
• Harden security posture including secrets management, access controls, and compliance requirements
• Optimize AWS infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance at scale
• Build platform capabilities that serve as reliable foundations for AI-driven automation
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and AI teams to ensure infrastructure meets evolving product needs
• Make existing systems more reproducible, observable, and maintainable over time

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Python or another object-oriented programming language
• Strong backend expertise including APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems design
• Deep knowledge of databases and SQL including data modeling and query optimization
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and code review practices
• Pragmatic engineering mindset focused on building, testing, and iterating quickly
• Systems thinking with an instinct to automate repetitive operational work
• Experience treating infrastructure as code rather than manual configuration
• Strong incident response skills including root cause analysis and post-mortem practices
• Security-conscious approach appropriate for handling financial data

Preferred experience:

• B2B SaaS or finance/ERP tooling environments
• Banking-as-a-Service APIs or payment infrastructure
• AWS cloud services, serverless architectures, and event-driven systems
• Curiosity about AI/ML systems and building reliable foundations for agent-driven products

Technical environment includes: AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS/Aurora), Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code, PostgreSQL, GitLab CI, Airflow, Grafana Cloud, and various AWS-managed services.
