About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential cloud technology organization seeking a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d) for their Leipzig office. Our client is a leading player in cloud platforms and infrastructure, working with enterprise clients across various industries. In this role, you'll architect, automate, and continuously improve AWS environments while developing scalable solutions that drive real business impact.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available platform architectures on AWS and other cloud providers, defining standards, reference architectures, and best practices
- Develop and operate platform services including networking, IAM, compute, storage, container, and serverless solutions
- Drive automation initiatives forward by developing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK, along with self-service frameworks
- Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, integrating security, compliance, and quality checks while implementing modern deployment strategies such as Blue/Green, Canary, and Rolling deployments
- Develop central automation tools and platform components in Python, creating APIs, CLI tools, and reusable libraries utilizing AWS SDKs (boto3) efficiently
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance by implementing monitoring, observability, and automated incident and recovery processes
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience in architecture, development, and optimization of AWS platforms
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and DevOps practices
- Proven experience building and operating platform services, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies
- Strong programming skills in Python with experience using AWS SDKs, APIs, and automation frameworks
- Understanding of monitoring, observability, and cloud operations as integral components of a stable platform
- Ideally, experience with container technologies, serverless architectures, and relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional)
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
