DevOps Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a remote-first technology company serving the hospitality sector across global markets. Our client builds unified platform solutions that help properties streamline operations and drive revenue growth. Their engineering team is tackling complex infrastructure challenges at scale, and they need a talented DevOps Engineer to join their fully distributed workforce.

This is a remote position based in the USA, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the country while collaborating with a global engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Architect and continuously improve cloud infrastructure within AWS environments
• Build and maintain the Kubernetes platform supporting production workloads
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management practices
• Drive engineering projects from development through production deployment
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that support software development workflows
• Enhance system security, reliability, scalability, performance, and overall quality
• Partner with development teams to share DevOps best practices and provide infrastructure expertise
• Participate in on-call rotation to support production environment stability

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of DevOps engineering experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, CloudWatch, and IAM
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (preferably EKS), Helm, and Docker
• Proven experience with application containerization methodologies and delivery patterns
• Working knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and ArgoCD/GitOps workflows
• Familiarity with web application servers (NGINX, Ingress controllers, load balancing), relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora), caching solutions (Redis, Memcached), and message queues (SQS)
• Ability to write Bash and Python scripts for automation
• Strong networking fundamentals
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in remote, globally distributed teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Linux system administration background
• Experience working within PCI-compliant environments
• Background automating service onboarding, including deployment and resource provisioning
• Exposure to monitoring and alerting platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, DataDog, or OpenTelemetry

Compensation

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $90,000 - $120,000 USD annually, depending on skills and experience. Exceptional candidates may be considered above this range.
