What This Role Involves
As a Delivery Driver, you'll be the face of Domino's, ensuring every order reaches our customers in perfect condition and on time. You'll operate a delivery vehicle, navigate local neighborhoods efficiently, and maintain professional customer interactions that reflect Domino's commitment to service quality.
Core Duties
- Transport hot, fresh pizzas and other food items to customer addresses throughout the El Monte area
- Follow optimal delivery routes to meet customer time expectations and fuel efficiency standards
- Collect cash and card payments at delivery points, handling transactions accurately
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous demeanor during all customer interactions
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns immediately
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols while driving
- Communicate proactively with dispatch about any delivery complications or delays
Requirements
- Current, valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Proof of auto insurance as required by company policy
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Reliable personal or company vehicle in good working condition
- Ability to lift and carry food orders safely, including boxes up to 35 pounds
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on store scheduling needs
