What This Role Involves

As a Deli Baker at Pilot Company's Ripon, CA travel center, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality baked items and fresh deli foods in a fast-paced retail environment. This part-time position is ideal for someone passionate about baking and food preparation who thrives in a busy service setting.

What You'll Do

• Mix, shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, rolls, and other baked goods to company recipes and quality standards
• Prepare deli items including sandwiches, prepared salads, and other ready-to-eat foods
• Maintain cleanliness and proper food safety practices in the bakery and deli areas
• Monitor inventory levels and report when stock needs replenishment
• Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, and display cases safely and effectively
• Ensure all products meet freshness and quality standards before they reach customers
• Assist with opening and closing procedures

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in baking, food preparation, or a related retail food service role
• Knowledge of food safety principles and proper handling procedures
• Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Reliable, punctual, and professional work habits
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings
