About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential media technology organization based in München. They are seeking a Data Analyst to join their growing Analytics & Data Platforms department. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful digital transformation projects within a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
As part of this position, you'll contribute to key initiatives involving data mesh implementation, clickstream processing, and the development of data marts for business intelligence dashboards. The team values personal development and offers training-on-the-job support when new technologies are involved.
Location: München, Germany
Work arrangement: Flexible remote work within Germany and select European countries, with regular in-person collaboration in München
Employment type: Permanent, unlimited contract
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, editorial, and engineering teams to develop tracking and measurement concepts, define relevant metrics, and ensure data completeness and reliability
- Work at the interface of technical data collection, utilizing SQL and structured datasets to maintain data quality
- Develop dashboards, reports, and analyses that enable teams to measure success transparently and understand user behavior patterns
- Serve as an analytical partner to product and editorial teams, translating complex analytics and tracking data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Analyze digital content usage patterns and help teams make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement of digital offerings
- Ensure data availability and accessibility across the organization through clear documentation and communication
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree with quantitative or analytical focus (e.g., Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Economics) or comparable qualification
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and processing large datasets, particularly digital usage and tracking data
- Strong SQL skills (BigQuery experience preferred)
- Ideally, experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and dbt
- Proven ability creating reports and dashboards with BI and visualization tools, particularly Power BI
- Understanding of tracking concepts, KPIs, and data quality principles
- Interest in working at the intersection of product and engineering teams
- Strong analytical capabilities for solving complex data challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment
- German and English proficiency at C1 level or higher
