About This Role
We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization based in München that is transforming how medical professionals interact with patient information. Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to build end-to-end healthcare web applications that connect seamlessly with hospital systems.
In this role, you will architect and develop modular frontend widgets and backend microservices, create shared libraries for internal teams, and work with clinical data standards. You'll collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, user-centered solutions using modern development practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop healthcare applications and services using TypeScript and React, with focus on clinical workflows and user-facing features
- Build reusable, independently deployable frontend widgets based on microfrontend architecture
- Develop and maintain backend services following microservice-based architecture
- Integrate services with hospital systems using FHIR, DICOM, and HL7 standards
- Build and maintain shared libraries that provide common application structure and unified design
- Contribute to architectural decisions and improve engineering practices
- Stay current with latest technologies, industry trends, and healthcare regulations
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Designers, and Engineers to deliver solutions
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proficiency in full-stack development with TypeScript and React (frontend) and Node.js (backend)
- Solid understanding of application architecture (SPA, Microfrontends) and APIs (HTTP, GraphQL)
- Experience building scalable applications with modern development practices (CI/CD, Docker, GitHub Actions)
- Strong analytical thinking, structured working style, and collaborative mindset
- Positive attitude with passion for continuous learning and professional growth
- Very good communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Familiarity with healthcare standards such as FHIR, DICOM, or HL7 is a plus
- Experience with additional programming languages such as Go and/or Rust is a plus
