Cyber Incident Handler

About This Opportunity

We are representing a global apparel and lifestyle organization in their search for a Cyber Incident Handler. Our client operates at significant scale across multiple brands and geographies, requiring sophisticated security operations to protect their digital infrastructure. This role reports to cybersecurity leadership and will be instrumental in building next-generation threat detection and incident response capabilities.

The ideal candidate will work alongside internal security teams and external partners to strengthen monitoring, detection, and incident management across cloud-based security platforms. You'll have the opportunity to shape a forward-thinking cyber defense program and develop advanced threat hunting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 escalation support for a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, investigating and resolving complex security incidents
• Drive continuous improvements to security event analysis operations and develop automation workflows
• Build and refine threat hunting capabilities, creating new use cases for SIEM implementation
• Proactively review false positive alerts and collaborate with security teams to tune detection rules and improve alert accuracy
• Lead small to medium-sized security projects as assigned by management
• Contribute to the evolution of cloud-based security monitoring solutions

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, System Analysis, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Internship or entry-level experience in an IT role is desired
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting to changing priorities

Highly Desired:

• Security certifications from Offensive Security, ISC2 (CISSP), or GIAC
• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms and security event analysis
• Familiarity with cloud security monitoring tools

Location: United States (remote opportunities may be available depending on the client's current policies)
