Construction Manager – Life & Security Systems

Hoffman Construction Company is hiring a Construction Manager – Life & Security Systems to join our Boise, Ada County team. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead electrical and life safety systems projects from planning through completion, working in partnership with design teams, clients, and trade partners across the region.

About the Role

This Construction Manager role focuses on the electrical and life safety systems side of our construction projects. You'll oversee coordination between electrical specialists, architects, engineers, and on-site trades to ensure complex systems are installed correctly and on schedule. Your leadership will be essential to solving technical challenges and keeping multi-faceted projects moving forward in Boise and surrounding Ada County communities.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the electrical and life safety systems team through each project phase
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and design professionals to address technical coordination requirements
• Communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to keep work on track
• Identify and resolve construction coordination issues as they arise on site
• Report progress and key developments to the Electrical Project Manager and construction leadership

Who We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing construction teams in electrical or life safety systems projects
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, building standards, and life safety requirements
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with multiple trades, clients, and design partners
• Problem-solving ability when handling complex technical coordination challenges
• Organized approach to scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
• Ability to work on-site in the Boise, Ada County area
