Commercial Sales Engineer – Central

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cybersecurity organization seeking a Commercial Sales Engineer for their Central region team. This is a remote position where you'll partner with our client's sales team to deliver technical expertise and drive successful security solution deployments for mid-market and enterprise accounts.

As a technical advisor, you'll bridge the gap between complex security challenges and practical solutions, working directly with prospects to design, demonstrate, and validate cloud-based security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compelling technical product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers
• Gather and document customer technical requirements to ensure proposed solutions align with business goals
• Lead proof-of-value evaluations, including custom configurations and technical scoping
• Design comprehensive evaluation test plans and guide customers through successful implementation
• Collaborate with account executives to develop technical strategies for target accounts
• Manage multiple concurrent evaluations across small to medium-sized business and enterprise accounts

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven cybersecurity and networking technical background with hands-on experience in network fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VPN, and firewalls
• 2+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Network Systems Integrator
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent working experience
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
• Customer-focused approach with excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred qualifications:

• Technical certifications such as CCNA, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, or Security+
• Prior experience in a quota-carrying sales role
• Experience managing multiple proof-of-value engagements simultaneously
• Background working with enterprise accounts in networking or cybersecurity

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $125,000–$183,750 USD base salary, plus commission, bonus, and comprehensive benefits including health plans, retirement options, education reimbursement, and paid time off.
