About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential medical device organization at the forefront of pediatric mobility technology. Our client is expanding their presence in the UK and seeks a Clinical Specialist to serve as a key clinical and technical resource for families and healthcare partners. This is a predominantly field-based role involving approximately 75% travel across the UK and occasional European destinations.

As Clinical Specialist, you will lead customer onboarding, provide hands-on training and support, conduct device trials at events and roadshows, and serve as a trusted advisor to families navigating complex mobility challenges. You'll work independently with advanced robotic equipment while collaborating with global customer success and product teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead onboarding and hands-on training for new families and clinical partners receiving mobility devices
  • Provide ongoing support through regular check-ins, helping customers use equipment effectively and achieve meaningful goals
  • Conduct hands-on device trials with children and families at roadshows, conferences, and events across the UK and Europe
  • Address daily customer queries via chat groups and manage support tickets
  • Independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot robotic equipment, including basic technical, mechanical, and software checks
  • Work with families and clinicians to establish goals and monitor progress using relevant measures
  • Gather customer feedback and share insights with engineering and product teams
  • Represent the organization at clinical events, conferences, and community activities
  • Occasional weekend work may be required for trials and events with reasonable advance notice

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, clinical practice, medical devices, mobility technology, or closely related field
  • Clinical experience at a level broadly equivalent to NHS Band 6, or equivalent experience in private practice or clinical specialist role within medical device or healthcare industry
  • Experience working with children with complex mobility needs, neurological conditions, physical disabilities, or rehabilitation needs
  • Tech-savvy with confidence to independently set up, adjust, and troubleshoot technical equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent empathy and patience
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 75% travel across UK and occasional European travel)
  • Ability to safely lift and handle equipment weighing up to 27 kg (60 lb)
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Must already possess legal right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available

Preferred:

  • Experience in medical device startup, healthtech, medtech, or early-stage company environment
  • Qualification as Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration (or eligible to practice as UK-licensed PT)
  • Membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP)
  • Experience providing virtual care, telehealth, or remote clinical support
  • Familiarity with UK paediatric funding pathways (NHS Continuing Healthcare, Personal Health Budgets, EHCPs, charitable funding)
  • Fluency in additional European language, particularly German or French
  • Experience with Salesforce or Airtable
