Clinical Business Analyst – Patient Access

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential healthcare organization in Canada that is undertaking a large-scale Clinical Information System implementation. We are seeking an experienced Clinical Business Analyst with deep expertise in Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling to join this transformative project.

This is a remote position based in the United States, with monthly travel required to New Brunswick, Canada. The ideal start date is October 12, 2026, or earlier if available.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinical stakeholders, healthcare providers, and subject matter experts to gather and analyze requirements for patient access workflows
• Document business processes, use cases, and detailed solution designs for registration and scheduling systems
• Facilitate workshops with healthcare teams to identify business and system requirements, user stories, and workflow improvements
• Support the implementation and validation of clinical information system solutions within an acute-care environment
• Develop and maintain clinical standards and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of patient access functionality
• Manage multiple project streams simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or similar role
• 5+ years working directly with Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling processes in healthcare
• 5+ years conducting requirements gathering, business process analysis, use-case development, and workshop facilitation
• 5+ years with acute-care healthcare information systems such as EHR or CIS platforms
• 3+ years supporting healthcare information system implementation projects
• Demonstrated experience in Canadian acute-care healthcare settings
• Willingness and ability to travel to New Brunswick at least once monthly
• Available to start around October 12, 2026, or earlier

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Clinical Business Analyst experience focused on Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling
• Experience with CPOE, Order Sets, Clinical Documentation, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, or Laboratory systems
• Strong verbal and written communication in both English and French
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams)
• Experience using Atlassian JIRA in project environments
• Previous work with public health authorities
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across clinical, technical, and business teams
