Claims Processing Agent – Freelance AI Trainer

Mindrift is hiring a Claims Processing Agent to work on project-based AI training opportunities in Japan. This is a part-time freelance role focused on helping leading technology companies test and refine their AI systems through real-world insurance claims scenarios.

What This Role Involves

As a Claims Processing Agent, you'll contribute to developing more intelligent AI systems by creating and evaluating complex insurance claims workflows. Your work will focus on the intersection of machine learning and insurance expertise—testing how AI handles decisions that require deep domain knowledge, regulatory understanding, and critical judgment. Each project is unique, but the core work centers on claims assessment, compliance verification, and scenario design.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess AI-generated auto insurance claim determinations for technical accuracy, policy alignment, and adherence to state regulations
• Create realistic first-notice-of-loss scenarios containing intentional inconsistencies, misleading documentation, and outdated policy language to evaluate AI resilience
• Develop fraud-identification cases with coded indicators (reporting delays, policy recency, discrepancies in damage reports) for special investigation unit evaluation
• Construct subrogation analysis cases that apply state-specific negligence frameworks (comparative fault vs. contributory negligence) and forecast recovery probability
• Produce thorough case documentation including verified resolutions, relevant policy references, and precise financial calculations

Requirements

• University degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, Law, or a closely related discipline
• Minimum three years of professional experience in insurance claims, legal services, financial services, or adjacent fields
• Current or recent hands-on background in claims handling, loss adjusting, or similar customer-facing insurance roles
• Working knowledge of auto insurance coverage principles, state-specific negligence doctrine, and adjuster authorization limits
• Professional-level English writing ability (C1 or higher)
• Industry credentials such as AIC, CPCU, CIFI, or SCLA are valued but not mandatory if you bring solid practical experience
