Senior Director, Finance

Centene Corporation is seeking an experienced Senior Director, Finance for a full-time position across Australia, Canada, France, Germany, India, Japan, Netherlands, Singapore, United Kingdom, and United States. In this strategic leadership role, you'll direct financial performance across business units while guiding our general and administrative functions, ensuring financial excellence and driving business results.

What This Role Involves

As Senior Director, Finance at Centene Corporation, you'll assume responsibility for the financial direction and performance of multiple business units. Your leadership of our general and administrative function will directly influence how well we manage costs, optimise processes, and support strategic initiatives. You'll be the trusted financial advisor to senior management, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that guide corporate strategy and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the finance, accounting, and analysis activities of assigned business units
• Lead the general and administrative function, ensuring operational efficiency and cost control
• Oversee the production of accurate, timely financial reports that meet all regulatory and internal requirements
• Interpret financial statements and performance data for the executive team, presenting strategic plans, operating budgets, and forecasts
• Analyse financial variances and operating performance, recommending alternatives and investment opportunities
• Establish key performance targets and financial measures aligned with business unit and corporate objectives
• Partner with sales and account management teams to enhance profitability and operational performance
• Monitor business processes, systems, and data integrity to ensure reliable financial information
• Act as the primary financial liaison between corporate functions and business units on all financial matters

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in accounting or financial analysis
• Proven management experience with responsibility for recruiting, developing, and evaluating staff
• Background in public accounting, operations, information systems, healthcare, or insurance
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and general and administrative functions (preferred)
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse audiences
• Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools
