Chief of Staff / Business Ops

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential climate-tech SaaS organization based in France. They're building data infrastructure for the global logistics sector and working with enterprise clients internationally. With approximately 20 team members and venture backing, they're entering a critical growth phase and need a strategic operator to drive execution at the leadership level.

We're seeking a Chief of Staff / Business Operations professional who can serve as the operational engine for the executive team—someone who transforms strategic priorities into results and thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete board and shareholder engagement cycle, including preparation of materials, pre-reads, action tracking, and follow-through to ensure accountability
• Design and maintain the leadership operating rhythm—running agendas, tracking decisions, and ensuring follow-through across the executive team
• Build and manage reporting infrastructure including pipeline dashboards, KPI tracking, and management reporting used for strategic decisions
• Partner directly with the CEO on communications, meeting preparation, and operational representation when needed
• Lead cross-functional special projects with full autonomy to design, execute, and deliver process improvements and scaling initiatives
• Serve as the operational bridge between European startup operations and US-based stakeholders

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years in business operations, strategy consulting, or Chief of Staff roles
• SaaS or logistics/supply chain sector experience strongly preferred
• Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and strong follow-through
• Data fluency with CRM platforms, spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentation tools
• Fluent French and English, both written and spoken
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures, particularly with US-based teams
• Proactive self-starter who identifies needs before being asked
• Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving startup environments
• Experience with US shareholder structures, governance frameworks, or helping companies professionalize through scaling phases is a plus
• Familiarity with modern collaboration and CRM tools is valuable

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive with the French market for this level of responsibility. The role includes performance bonus potential and standard French benefits under the Syntec collective agreement.
