About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential legal services organization in Canada seeking a Bilingual Legal Assistant for a strategic part-time engagement with strong potential to transition to full-time. Our client values precision, professionalism, and client-focused communication across multiple practice areas including personal injury, workers' compensation, and criminal defense.

This role begins as a half-time trial position, offering an excellent pathway to permanent full-time employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Contact and follow up with prospective clients via phone
  • Conduct client intake calls and accurately complete intake documentation
  • Prepare and complete legal documents using approved templates
  • Communicate professionally with clients in both English and French, both written and verbal
  • Provide administrative and case-related support to attorneys
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Fully bilingual in English and French with written and verbal proficiency in both languages
  • Prior legal assistant or law office experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable managing confidential client information

Preferred:

  • Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or criminal defense matters
  • Familiarity with legal intake procedures and document preparation workflows

Technical Requirements:

  • Processor: Intel iCore 5, Ryzen 5, or higher
  • RAM: 16GB or more
  • Dual monitor setup
  • Windows 11 Pro operating system
  • Noise-canceling headset and camera
