Chief of Staff (All Genders)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential sports technology company seeking a Chief of Staff to work directly with the founding team. This is a hands-on operational leadership role for someone who thrives on building scalable processes and driving strategic initiatives from conception to completion.

Our client is building a digital platform in the sports community space and needs someone who can bring structure to rapid growth while maintaining the agility of an early-stage organization.

Responsibilities

• Own strategic and operational projects end-to-end, from initial concept through planning, execution, and measurable results
• Build and continuously improve core company processes that enable the organization to scale effectively
• Work closely with the founder on cross-functional strategic priorities, bringing together different teams and perspectives
• Create clarity on organizational priorities and ensure important initiatives maintain momentum
• Support process optimization across operational areas as needed
• Prepare decision-making materials and analyses for the leadership team

What We're Looking For

• 5–8 years of experience in strategy and operations roles
• Fluency in both German and English
• Strong process thinking with the ability to bring clarity to complex situations and create pragmatic solutions
• Proven experience independently driving projects from concept to execution in fast-growth environments
• Proficiency with collaboration tools including Notion, project management platforms, Google Workspace, and Slack
• Comfort with hands-on execution alongside strategic planning – this is not a pure strategy role
• Genuine interest in sports and community-focused technology
• Based in or willing to relocate to Cologne, with onsite presence at least twice weekly

Bonus qualifications: Experience at high-growth startups; early-stage experience building people or organizational processes.
