Freelance Foundation Math Instructor at the University of Europe – Hamburg

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential higher education institution seeking a freelance mathematics instructor for their Hamburg location. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator to work with international students in a foundation-level mathematics program.

Responsibilities

• Deliver foundation-level mathematics instruction covering functions, systems of equations, matrices, logic, and probability
• Teach in English to international student groups, ensuring clarity of fundamental mathematical concepts
• Develop and administer formative assessments and final examinations to measure student progress
• Track student attendance and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate closely with program management and academic leadership
• Prepare foundation students for bachelor-level coursework and admission requirements
• Provide 3 hours of instruction per week throughout the semester

What We're Looking For

• Proven teaching experience in mathematics at the foundation or introductory university level
• Demonstrated experience working with international and diverse student populations
• Strong English proficiency with the ability to teach mathematical concepts clearly in English
• Passion for student development and academic preparation
• Ability to work independently as a freelance instructor while maintaining collaborative relationships with academic teams
