Senior Consultant Digital Analytics (m/w/d), München

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital consulting organization seeking a Senior Digital Analytics Consultant to join their team in München. In this role, you will build measurement systems that support real investment decisions for B2B clients in manufacturing and industrial sectors.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Owning measurement concepts from KPI definition through technical specification, always grounding analytics in business decisions
• Building tracking setups in GTM including server-side containers, properly configured for consent management and real-world constraints like ITP limitations and ad blockers
• Enforcing data quality through validation, debugging, and documentation—identifying setups that produce plausible but incorrect data
• Working beyond standard analytics interfaces with GA4, BigQuery, SQL, and alternative platforms to deliver three substantive insights rather than thirty charts
• Defining reporting logic, metrics, granularity, and rhythms while specifying dashboards built collaboratively with data teams
• Connecting marketing data to CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot) and offline conversion tracking to make B2B analytics genuinely relevant
• Implementing privacy-compliant measurement through CMP setups and consent signal management in coordination with client legal teams
• Managing multiple client accounts within retainer budgets, flagging scope issues proactively
• Translating technical concepts like server-side tagging for executive audiences and delivering analysis to sales leaders that changes their actions
• Using AI tools effectively for analysis and documentation while knowing when AI output requires expert review
• Coaching colleagues, collaborating across search, performance, marketing technology, and data teams, and documenting work to survive handoffs

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone with deep technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex B2B measurement challenges:

• Minimum 4 years in web analytics and tracking with direct responsibility for production systems; experience inheriting and remediating someone else's setup
• Deep GTM expertise in both client-side and server-side implementations—you understand why HTTP-only cookies over same-site subdomain endpoints are the real point of server-side tagging
• Practical consent management experience with Consent Mode v2, CMP integration, and modeling limitations; you recognize common misconfigurations in unfamiliar containers
• Strong GA4 capabilities plus comfort with BigQuery export and SQL; awareness of where the GA4 interface becomes unreliable
• Ability to define metrics from business requirements before measuring them and explain which decisions they support—purely technical perspectives won't succeed here
• Understanding of B2B data realities: long sales cycles, small sample sizes, lead quality over volume, CRM as source of truth; project experience in manufacturing, industrial goods, or wholesale is a strong plus
• Resilience working with client IT constraints including slow deployment cycles and limited access
• Hands-on approach with Excel mastery; ability to gather necessary input from teams and work independently thereafter
• Strong communication skills in German; professional proficiency in English
• Experience with SEO reporting, marketing mix modeling, or dbt is beneficial but not required

Pay

This is a senior-level consulting position. The client's compensation range for this role is €60,000–€75,000 gross per year (all-in), which includes all compensation components and represents target earnings. Placement within the range depends on your skills, scope of responsibility, and experience—never on your previous salary.
