Chief of Staff

About This Opportunity

We are representing a Berlin-based B2B SaaS company in their search for a Chief of Staff to join the leadership team. This is a high-impact role working directly with the CEO and founders, combining strategic oversight with hands-on financial and operational execution.

Our client is a venture-backed technology company scaling their operations and building sustainable, profitable growth. They need someone who can bridge strategy, finance, and execution across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-impact, cross-functional strategic projects from conception through delivery
• Own business planning, financial forecasting, investor reporting, and performance tracking
• Drive the commercial model, including product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy as the SaaS offering expands
• Manage accounting, billing processes, and relationships with external finance partners
• Structure and facilitate OKRs, decision-making frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration
• Partner with the leadership team on people initiatives and performance management
• Oversee customer contracts, coordinate external legal support, and manage public funding and ISO certification topics
• Take ownership of unstructured, high-priority initiatives that lack a clear organizational home

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or strategic finance roles within startups or scale-ups (Chief of Staff, founder's office, or senior finance positions)
• Strong financial analysis, reporting, and planning capabilities with confidence in Excel modeling
• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify gaps, take full ownership, and drive initiatives to completion
• Detail-oriented with high standards for excellence and the ability to raise the bar for those around you
• Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills; able to translate between strategy, finance, and operations
• Comfortable working in a high-performance culture with fast pace and changing priorities
• High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
• Fluent German (ideally C2 level) and business fluent English (C1 level)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Berlin, with commitment to being in-office 3-4 days per week

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for this senior leadership role in the Berlin market. The position includes virtual equity participation (VSOP).
