Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential media organization seeking a Chief Financial Officer based in London. In this role, you will own the financial operations and work directly with executive leadership on strategic planning. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preparing annual budgets and driving effective financial planning processes
- Providing weekly cash flow updates and monitoring liquidity
- Conducting monthly P&L reviews and cash position analysis
- Evaluating and implementing cost optimization initiatives across the business
- Reviewing intercompany and external loan arrangements
- Leading working capital management responsibilities
- Managing human resources financial planning and forecasting
- Supporting sales and operations teams with financial insights and decision-making
- Reporting to investors on a monthly basis and participating in board meetings
What We're Looking For
Our client is seeking a finance professional with:
- Strong accounting background with ideally 2+ years of experience from a Big Four firm
- Prior experience as CFO, Head of Finance, or Finance Director in a small to medium-sized business
- UK work authorization (required)
- Media and conferences industry background preferred but not mandatory
- High sense of urgency and exceptional work ethic
- Ownership mentality with proactive follow-through on commitments
- Passion for fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
