About the Role
As a full-time CDL-A Company Driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll operate an over-the-road commercial vehicle transporting dry van freight across the United States. This position offers predictable schedules with regular home time, averaging 2,000 miles per week on a 12-out/2-home rotation, providing the stability and income serious drivers need.
What You'll Do
- Drive commercially across multiple states in dry van operations
- Complete vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety standards
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Coordinate with dispatchers for optimal load assignments and routing
- Deliver freight shipments professionally and on schedule
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with 1-5 months of driving experience
- Clean driving record and willingness to pass background screening
- Ability to manage extended time away from home and meet deadlines
- Commitment to vehicle maintenance and DOT safety compliance
- Professional communication and customer service orientation
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay structure starting at 57-64 cents per mile based on experience
- Top-performing drivers earning $1,650 or more weekly
- Guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500 under our home time schedule
- $4,000 sign-on bonus
- Team driving opportunities available with $5,000 sign-on bonus and $0.72-$0.80 per mile split pay
