U.S. Xpress - OTR is hiring experienced Class A commercial driver's license holders for our over-the-road freight operations based in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto County. About the Role

Join our fleet as a dedicated company driver operating a dry van over long-distance regional and national routes. This is a full-time position with a predictable 12 days out, 2 days home rotation designed for drivers committed to serious miles and steady income. You'll be essential to our logistics operations, delivering freight across America's highways while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Operate a dry van commercial truck on over-the-road routes averaging 2,000 miles per week
• Maintain vehicle safety inspections, logbooks, and full DOT compliance
• Deliver loads on schedule while protecting cargo integrity
• Communicate with dispatch regarding route updates and delivery confirmations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Uphold safety standards and contribute to a culture of accountability

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A) with a clean driving record
• 1 to 5 months of verifiable over-the-road truck driving experience
• Ability to commit to the 12 out, 2 home schedule
• Strong professional communication and judgment
• Commitment to federal safety regulations and company policies

Compensation & Benefits

We value our drivers with industry-competitive compensation. Earn 57 to 64 cents per mile based on your experience, with our top performers reaching approximately $1,650 weekly. All company drivers receive a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,500 plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus. If you prefer or develop a team driving partnership, we offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, 72 to 80 cents per mile split pay, and access to approximately 5,000 miles per week.
