About the Role
As a CDL-A company driver with U.S. Xpress - OTR, you'll operate modern dry van equipment on consistent over-the-road routes. This is a full-time position designed for drivers ready to establish a predictable schedule and reliable income while gaining valuable OTR experience.
What You'll Do
- Operate dry van trucks on long-distance routes, averaging 2,000 miles per week
- Maintain safe, professional driving practices and vehicle compliance at all times
- Manage your schedule with a proven 12 days out/2 days home pattern
- Work with dispatchers to optimize routes and delivery timelines
- Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with at least 1 to 5 months of professional trucking experience
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and background screening
- Commitment to safe, courteous, and compliant driving practices
- Reliability and professional communication skills
- Ability to adapt to life on the road with consistent schedules
Pay & Schedule
We offer competitive compensation with guaranteed weekly earnings and performance incentives. Solo drivers earn between 46 to 60 cents per mile, with a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,400 and opportunities to reach $1,525 per week for top performers. New solo drivers also receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Your consistent schedule—12 days on the road followed by 2 days at home—ensures predictability and work-life balance.
