Category Management Werkstudent (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential online grocery client seeking a Category Management working student for their Düsseldorf office. In this role, you will serve as the operational backbone of the category team, ensuring digital product catalogs are accurately maintained across multiple regions.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Product Creation & Onboarding: Create and configure new product entries in the system, ensuring all necessary information is correct and customer-ready from day one.
• Tool Support & Validation: Support the implementation and usage of new automation tools. Act as a critical quality control checkpoint, questioning processes and validating system outputs for accuracy.
• Product Performance Monitoring: Track sales and inventory anomalies closely. When high-priority items show unexpected performance or availability issues, investigate root causes to maximize digital shelf revenue.
• Content & Storefront Optimization: React quickly to incomplete product presentations that hinder sales by resolving missing product photos or incomplete item information in the app.
• Supply Chain & Inbound Coordination: Support the team with daily commercial supply chain questions and resolve product delivery issues to ensure smooth operations across your categories.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide strong operational support across varying priority levels, working closely with category, brand, and cross-functional teams to balance daily tasks effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Advanced Bachelor's or current Master's degree in Business Administration, E-Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a comparable field.
• Sharp attention to detail, strong logical thinking, and natural curiosity to look behind the scenes and solve operational puzzles.
• Excellent organizational skills, proactive attitude toward taking ownership, and comfort managing daily workflows.
• Genuine affinity for the food industry and enthusiasm for working with new software systems.
• Availability to support the team for 16-20 hours per week.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Pay

This working student position offers €14.75/hour for Bachelor students or €15.50/hour for Master students, paid through the client upon placement.
