Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Senior Cardiac Cath Technologist to join the cardiovascular team at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County. In this full-time, on-site role, you will partner directly with invasive cardiologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic and interventional cardiac care.

About the Role

As a Senior Cardiac Cath Technologist, you will support invasive cardiology procedures within a fast-paced cath lab environment. Beyond hands-on patient care, this senior-level position calls for leadership at the bedside — working alongside colleagues to keep the department running smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively while upholding the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist invasive cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Apply working knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular physiology throughout each case.
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and collaborate with team members to promote efficient department operations.
• Contribute to cost-conscious workflows without compromising patient safety or quality of care.
• Maintain readiness of equipment and supplies to ensure procedures run on schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a cardiac cath technologist, with the clinical judgment expected at a senior level.
• Solid understanding of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to function effectively as part of an invasive cardiology team during complex procedures.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to mentor peers and coordinate department activities.
