Canada- Sr Application Engineer (Salesforce-Agentforce Ai)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking a Senior Application Engineer specializing in Salesforce Agentforce AI for a remote position based in Canada. Our client is at the forefront of AI-driven innovation in their sector and is looking for creative technical talent to architect and deliver state-of-the-art AI agents and intelligent automations.

This is a remote role with occasional travel requirements for onboarding, team events, and semi-annual meetings at client offices in Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Build AI agents using Agentforce and other AI platforms, working at the forefront of AI-driven enterprise solutions
• Pioneer intelligent process automations using IPA tools like Power Automate, Alteryx, and similar platforms
• Develop test automations to improve QA efficiencies for Salesforce and connected applications
• Execute standard to complex tasks in the application development lifecycle using Apex, JavaScript, Python, and other relevant languages
• Collaborate with product designers and end-users to refine AI use cases and prototype solutions
• Integrate Salesforce with external systems including document management, marketing automation, customer success, and project management platforms
• Perform unit testing, create quality test scripts, and maintain automated testing frameworks
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug systems for standard to complex issues
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all builds and AI agents
• Mentor junior and intermediate application engineers through peer reviews, pull request approvals, and guidance
• Participate in DevOps processes using tools like Copado or AutoRabit and manage version control via GitHub
• Act as an AI change agent to drive team adoption of AI-powered efficiency improvements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience building Agentforce AI agents, AI workflows, custom agent development, and integration of external data sources
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining configuration and custom applications that integrate with Salesforce or connected platforms
• Solid experience with Salesforce integrations and external system integrations
• Experience creating intelligent process automations using Power Automate or similar tools
• Solid experience creating test automations for Salesforce and other platforms
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript, Apex, Python, with ability to write clean, scalable code
• Proficiency in DevOps processes and tools (e.g., Copado, AutoRabit)
• Proficiency in GitHub and troubleshooting version control issues
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Solid experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PMD, Selenium, Copado CRT)
• In-depth understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and governor limits
• Excellent organization, critical-thinking, and self-management skills
• Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas and collaborate cross-functionally

Required Certifications:

• Salesforce Certified Agentforce Specialist
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II
• Salesforce Advanced Administrator certification
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Desired/Bonus Qualifications:

• Salesforce Certified Application/Systems Architect
• Experience with Workday platform
• Experience building AI agents on other AI platforms
• Experience with Product Operating Model environments
• SaaS product development experience
• Experience with Salesforce Lightning Design System or UI frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular
• Knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Revenue Cloud, Agentforce, and Einstein
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms
• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Knowledge of SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect
• Experience with on-call responsibilities for production systems
