Business Segment Lead

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential health technology organization seeking an experienced Business Segment Lead to drive market leadership within a key business segment. This strategic role combines market intelligence, P&L ownership, and cross-functional influence to shape go-to-market strategy and product direction. You'll work closely with product, sales, marketing, and insurance teams to define value propositions, pricing strategies, and distribution channels for high-potential market segments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a compelling vision and strategy for your assigned business segment to achieve market leadership
• Conduct deep market intelligence work, analyzing competitive landscape, market sizing, customer pain points, and unmet needs
• Define differentiated value propositions and pricing strategies tailored to your segment's unique characteristics
• Design and execute go-to-market strategies covering both account management (renewal) and business development (expansion)
• Own P&L performance for your segment and build business cases for internal resource allocation
• Collaborate with product teams to prioritize features and make strategic trade-offs based on market insights
• Drive innovation in distribution channels, sub-segmentation approaches, and partnership management
• Work alongside other segment leaders to share best practices and create alignment on long-term value plans
• Support field activities as needed to stay connected to customers and team execution

What We're Looking For

• At least 8 years of experience leading a business unit, product category, or market segment with demonstrated results
• Full working proficiency in French (required)
• Advanced level English proficiency
• Exceptional ability to establish influence across functions without direct reporting lines
• Strong analytical skills with experience manipulating data to build comprehensive market views
• Business acumen combined with the ability to dive deep into product considerations
• Proven track record articulating clear strategies in complex or uncertain environments
• Experience working effectively with senior leadership stakeholders
• Generalist mindset as a self-starter (rather than single-industry specialist) who adapts quickly
• Willingness to go into the field to support teammates and learn directly from market interactions
• Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, Bordeaux, Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona
