Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned border sectors on foot, vehicle, and by other means to detect and prevent unauthorized entry
- Enforce federal immigration and customs laws along the U.S. border
- Conduct interviews, inspections, and investigations related to border security
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on enforcement actions and incidents
- Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
- Coordinate with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
- Participate in training programs to maintain and improve operational readiness
Skills & Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- Valid driver's license
- Pass a thorough background investigation and security clearance
- Vision and hearing within acceptable federal standards
- Physical fitness capable of demanding outdoor work in varied terrain
- Strong communication and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to be reassigned based on operational needs
