Responsibilities

  • Patrol assigned border sectors on foot, vehicle, and by other means to detect and prevent unauthorized entry
  • Enforce federal immigration and customs laws along the U.S. border
  • Conduct interviews, inspections, and investigations related to border security
  • Maintain detailed records and prepare reports on enforcement actions and incidents
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed
  • Coordinate with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies
  • Participate in training programs to maintain and improve operational readiness

Skills & Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a thorough background investigation and security clearance
  • Vision and hearing within acceptable federal standards
  • Physical fitness capable of demanding outdoor work in varied terrain
  • Strong communication and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to be reassigned based on operational needs
