Border Patrol Agent – Experienced

As an experienced Border Patrol Agent at the GL-9 GS-11 level, you will play a critical role in securing the nation's borders and protecting your community. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct border patrol operations to detect, interdict, and apprehend individuals attempting unlawful border crossing
• Inspect vehicles, vessels, and persons at designated checkpoints and patrol areas throughout Clinton County
• Identify, document, and process smuggled goods, contraband, and regulatory violations
• Prepare detailed reports and incident documentation for all enforcement actions and patrol activities
• Respond to security threats and emergency situations as part of a coordinated response team
• Participate in surveillance, intelligence gathering, and coordinated operations with federal partners
• Maintain proficiency with required equipment, weapons, and law enforcement protocols

Skills & Qualifications

• Prior law enforcement officer (LEO) experience or equivalent background in federal, state, or local enforcement
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance and pass thorough background investigation
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate patrol vehicles in varied terrain and weather conditions
• Excellent physical condition to perform demanding outdoor enforcement work
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to document incidents and findings clearly
• Ability to work independently and as part of a coordinated enforcement team
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs require
