Oscar Health

Oscar Health is seeking a Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our Member and Provider Services team in Texas. This remote, full-time position combines direct member and provider support with essential operational work that keeps our organization running smoothly.

What This Role Involves

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you'll handle a high-volume caseload focused on member and provider interactions through multiple communication channels. This position balances customer-facing work with back-office tasks that support our health insurance operations. You'll be responsible for resolving inquiries, managing work-in-progress issues, and maintaining service quality while adhering to healthcare compliance standards. Your contributions will directly impact how members and providers experience Oscar's service.

Core Duties

  • Engage with members, providers, brokers, and vendors through phone, email, and other assigned communication methods
  • Maintain assigned caseload while meeting productivity and quality service standards
  • Learn and apply Oscar's business model, processes, and tools to resolve customer inquiries efficiently
  • Identify operational issues and escalate through established pathways, tracking resolution to completion
  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal teams and external partners
  • Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational enhancements
  • Ensure all member interactions and documentation comply with healthcare privacy regulations and HIPAA requirements
  • Uphold compliance with applicable healthcare laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Full professional bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English—fluent in speaking, reading, and writing
  • At least one year of experience in a high-volume or customer-focused work setting
  • A minimum of six months of healthcare industry experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; data entry accuracy; proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications (preferred)

Why Join Oscar Health

Oscar was built from the ground up in 2012 as the first health insurance company centered on technology and genuine member care—our mission is to act like a trusted healthcare advisor, not a faceless bureaucracy. As a full-time team member, you'll earn $19.00 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour available upon successful completion of the bilingual assessment. Full-time employees receive comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 11 paid holidays, paid sick time, paid parental leave, 401(k) participation, life and disability insurance, and monthly vacation accrual at 15 days per year.
