Oscar Health is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Member and Provider Services team in a remote position based in Texas. This is a full-time opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume customer service environment where you'll help members navigate their health insurance experience through multiple channels.

What This Role Involves

As a Customer Service Representative for Oscar Health, you'll be at the heart of our operations, handling the core activities that keep our health insurance services running smoothly. Working from your home office in Texas, you'll manage customer interactions and back-office tasks, apply standard operating procedures, and contribute to the efficiency of our Member and Provider Services team. You'll report to the Concierge Operations Manager and work across multiple communication channels to serve our members, brokers, providers, and vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master Oscar's business model, processes, tools, and procedures to serve members and partners effectively
  • Handle customer and partner interactions via phone, email, and other channels based on assignment needs
  • Manage an assigned caseload while meeting service delivery, productivity, and quality standards
  • Build and maintain productive working relationships with members, brokers, providers, and Oscar vendors
  • Identify and escalate issues through established pathways to support leadership and operations
  • Monitor work-in-progress items and track their resolution status
  • Resolve issues promptly while maintaining appropriate turnaround times
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operations
  • Comply fully with operational, regulatory, and privacy standards protecting member health information

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience working in a high-volume customer service or customer-focused environment
  • At least 6 months of experience in healthcare
  • High school diploma or GED
