Customer Service Representative (Remote FL)

Oscar Health is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Member and Provider Services team in Florida. In this full-time position, you'll handle member interactions and back office support for our innovative health insurance operations.

Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative for Oscar Health, you'll be a core part of our Florida-based concierge operations team. This role centers on managing high-volume customer interactions and processing critical tasks that keep our health insurance services running smoothly. You'll work directly with our members, healthcare providers, brokers, and partner vendors—handling inquiries, managing cases, and solving problems that directly impact member satisfaction. Reporting to the Concierge Operations Manager, you'll combine customer-facing communication with accurate back office work, all while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Master Oscar's systems, workflows, and business operations to provide informed support to members, providers, brokers, and vendors across phone, email, chat, and other channels
• Own your assigned caseload, meeting productivity targets and quality standards while delivering consistent service
• Build effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues efficiently
• Document and escalate problems through proper channels, tracking progress until resolution
• Contribute to operational improvements by identifying process inefficiencies and participating in enhancement projects
• Protect member privacy by strictly adhering to all regulatory requirements governing healthcare information (PHI compliance)
• Ensure every task meets applicable legal and compliance standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year working in a high-volume customer service, sales, or similar fast-paced environment
• At least 6 months of hands-on experience in healthcare, insurance, or related medical field
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and case management
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new systems and processes
• Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking); strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; advanced experience with Google Suite or Microsoft Office; expertise with data entry and database management
