The Opportunity
BAYADA is actively hiring caregivers to work with individuals with developmental disabilities across the Springfield region. Core Duties
- Provide direct support addressing the behavioral and mental health needs of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities within their homes and community
- Facilitate client transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings using your personal vehicle
- Support daily living skills and community integration goals
- Operate with independence and sound judgment in the home environment
- Report progress and maintain communication with supervisory staff
Requirements
- Documented experience of at least one year directly supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for client transportation
- Capability to work unsupervised in residential and community settings
- High school diploma or GED
- Clearance from reference and background screening
