Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization with a global footprint, seeking an experienced Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) for their Munich location. In this role, you will:

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB (German GAAP)
• Contribute to group consolidation processes, including subsidiary consolidations
• Ensure high-quality financial reporting and meet all deadlines for closing and reporting processes
• Take responsibility for selected areas of ongoing financial accounting
• Perform account reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and balance confirmations
• Serve as primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, tax authorities, and internal departments
• Prepare for and support annual audits and tax audits
• Advise management on accounting, financial, and process-related matters
• Support tax-related topics and statistical reporting requirements
• Analyze, optimize, and digitalize accounting and finance processes
• Actively shape efficient workflows, automation initiatives, and modern reporting structures
• Participate in cross-functional projects and special assignments

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed business administration degree with focus on accounting, finance, or controlling, OR certification as Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
• Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting within a mid-sized company or corporate group
• Strong knowledge of HGB accounting principles and financial statement preparation
• Experience with group consolidation is advantageous
• Confident communication skills when working with auditors and tax advisors
• Solid ERP system knowledge; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is ideal
• Advanced Excel skills with strong numerical and process orientation
• Interest in digitalization, automation, and modern finance structures
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and sense of responsibility
• Good English skills for collaboration with international entities
